To the Jefferson Parish Leadership:

The Jefferson Performing Arts Society (JPAS) should manage the new Jefferson Performing Arts Theatre in LaSalle Park. JPAS has a proven track-record of over 32 years of producing, promoting and supporting the performing arts for Jefferson Parish. JPAS lobbied and secured the initial funding for this new facility and since then, no other organization or entity has devoted as much time, energy and resources into making the new theatre a reality. As a leader in artistic and cultural programming, JPAS seeks to manage the space in an effort to expand the thriving programming and cultural offerings they provide for the people of Jefferson Parish. JPAS has the experience, the knowledge and the passion to make this new performing arts center a place for the people of Jefferson to become actively involved with the arts and grow culturally and artistically as a community.

JPAS is qualified, experienced and knowledgeable and should manage the new performing arts theatre that it initiated. I urge you to consider JPAS’ history of commitment to the people of Jefferson Parish and the amazing artistic successes JPAS has achieved in the past 32 years. I am asking you, our elected officials, to let our voice be heard! JPAS should be the managing organization for the new Performing Arts Theatre in Jefferson.
